Why Guernseys?

  • More than 90% of Guernsey cows are by nature, A2/A2. At one point, they were likely 100%, but because of some breeding mishaps, that number has dropped a little but still significantly higher than most other dairy breeds available in the USA. And as a Guernsey collector——ahem, I mean, farmer and breeder, we only breed to certified A2/A2 proven bulls to make sure we have a full herd of highest quality cows!

  • The golden color to their milk represents the high levels of beta carotene. They do not break it down as it passes through their system so it passes into their milk! This means improved vision, heart, and cognitive function for us! OH and better skin. Suddenly, I’m very thirsty.

  • The Guernsey Cattle Federation notes that Guernsey milk contains 33% more vitamin D and 15% more calcium than your average milk.

  • Three times more fatty acid omega 3 than other breeds.

  • And last but not least, they have the best personalities and make by far, the cutest calves in the entire world! *Just in this farm girl’s unbiased opinion of course*
